Manchester United will face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in the opening game of the 2013/2014 English Premier League season.
All eyes will be on newly appointed manager, David Moyes, who will face Swansea City in his first Premier League match as the club’s new manager on August 17th.
Moyes has big shoes to fill as he succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson at the Old Trafford helm.
It is a little bit ironic that Sir Alex faced Swansea in his final home game as the Manchester United boss, and that Moyes will take over the lead by facing Swansea too.
The next match for the current champions will be against Europa League winners, Chelsea. This is an eagerly anticipated fixture, as it will see two strong teams go head to head – both under new management.
United will then travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool the following weekend – a venue where Moyes has never recorded a victory.
The always-dramatic Manchester Derby awaits in late September where United take on rivals, Manchester City, who are also under new management in the form of Manuel Pellegrini.
Three top teams have new managers: Jose Mourinho (Chelsea) Manuel Pellegrini (Man City) David Moyes (Man United)

The final game of Manchester United’s 2013-14 Premier League campaign will be against Southampton at St Mary’s but, like last term, the Red Devils will hope to have No.21 wrapped up by then.
