This must be the most innovative, compelling and highly entertaining advertisement I have seen in a long time.
Samsung has teamed up with some of the world’s best soccer superstars to produce an ad that will literally have you wishing it was real or that a movie of the same premise is in the works.
Released on Wednesday, the ad has already racked up more than 4,5 million views on YouTube.
The premise is this: Earth is being invaded by aliens (like so many fictional times before). The aliens then put a ultimatum in front of the human race – by challenging us to a football match.
The search is then on to collect a “World Team”, consisting of the best soccer players in the world, to help defend our planet.
The players chosen for this epic battle is: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Aleksandr Kerzhakov, Landon Donovan, Wayne Rooney, Iker Casillas, Lee Chung-Yong, Radamel Falcao, Victor Moses, Stephan El Shaarawy, Wu Lei, Oscar and Mario Götze.
